It’s been a while since I posted on here. I really need to post more regularly. Here are some of my most recent bridal shoots.

We went to Perth Zoo today for my fiance’s birthday and we all had a great day. It was nice to have some good weather on the weekend.
I love meerkats, the way they sit so inquisitively looking around.

This little guy just sat so perfectly in a ray of sunshine, soaking up the warmth.

This tiger was hard to get a photo of. He was stalking up and down right at the back and it was so dark I could hardly get him in focus. There were people and kids everywhere and I almost gave up. Then he finally sat down and I got this one shot before he took off yet again.

Our son really enjoyed himself and loved seeing all the animals (and hundreds of kids running around).

Those who know me well, know that I hate Winter. I almost want to pack up and move away from Perth because of Winter. Hedland warmth is in my veins and when the temperatures drop and it starts to rain I go inside and hide under the blankets. But I did try and see “some” beauty in Winter.
I liked the reflections in the puddles.

I can’t wait for Spring.
Can you believe that in the six years I have lived in Perth, I have never been to Hyde Park? I found a great photo on flickr and couldn’t believe this place was in Perth. I went there today with my sister to do some portrait photography and a few others. I really love Hyde Park, it is beautiful and has so many different areas for great portraits. I would have loved to stay longer and get more photos but it was so cold and got dark real quick.
I’ve been a little MIA, first thing was my modem broke so a week went by before I got a new one and then the day it arrived my laptop broke thus losing all the photos I had taken in the period when I had no internet connection (stupidly not backed up). I have yet to upload any new photographs I have taken since I arrived back in Perth 3 weeks ago. Here is some of my people photos.

I waited all week for the amazing sunset that I knew Hedland was capable of. Every other night the tide was high and rough and there was not a cloud in sight. So when the sky filled with clouds, the tide went out and the tide pools were still-it was magical.

The next tow are panoramas I made from merging 8 or so photographs. Click on them to see the large version.

I flew up North to Hedland yesterday afternoon. I wish I could have gotten a photo from the plane of the sunset, it is so different when you are up high-the sun is so bright it looks like bright daylight up there but down below you can see the colours on the horizon and then as you are landing the sun seems to get more and more orange until it is out of sight and the plane has touched the ground. Amazing!
I had forgotten how open Port Hedland is, the sky and horizon can be seen in every direction, compared to the blocked views of living in the city suburbs, this is like paradise. I love the bold contrast between red dirt and bright blue sky.
A kangaroo with hooves…quite strange. The kangaroos reminds me of the ones on St Georges Tce in Perth only that these have hooves instead of proper kangaroo feet.
This morning I went with my brother to his soccer game and the teams were treated with a training session with three Perth Glory soccer players, and everyone got signed soccer balls.
